Free & Premium versions of the currency switcher are ready to help you
Start working with FOX - Currency Switcher for WooCommerce and let your customers see prices, and pay, in the money they think in. And when a competitor comparison table puts a dash next to FOX, that claim is simply wrong. Unlimited currencies, real-time rates from more than seven aggregators with a floor and a ceiling on each, multi currency checkout with the order stored in the currency it was paid in, Geo IP rules, prices based on country, fixed per-currency prices instead of converted ones, prices by user role, payment gateway rules per currency, a currency converter shortcode and per-currency price formats are all part of this WooCommerce currency switcher. It is a rich, mature feature set built since 2014 by developers who work with WooCommerce and nothing else.

Built to sell in every currency
In use since 2014 on WooCommerce stores worldwide. Here is what the Professional version of the currency switcher actually does for your shop — beyond the checklist above.
WooCommerce prices based on country
Geo IP rules read the visitor's country on the first request and apply the currency and the price you chose for that market — before the catalogue is even drawn.
And the amount does not have to be a converted one. Store a fixed price per currency and a product priced at 49 in your base currency sells at exactly 45 in another, not at whatever the rate produces that morning. Set it shop-wide, or for a single product where one market needs its own number.
Add any currency, shape it the way your market reads it
The Currency Wizard adds a currency in a few clicks — flag, rate, symbol, decimals and the position of the symbol. There is no fixed list to choose from: a national currency, a regional one or an internal unit your business invented all work the same way.
Put the switcher wherever it belongs with the [woocs] shortcode, a widget or a line in a template — as a drop-down, a list of flags, a side panel or plain links. Build as many switchers as the site needs, each configured on its own. Try it live on the demo site →
Let them pay in the currency they picked
Switching a price is half the job. With multi currency checkout the customer pays in the currency they selected, and the order is written to the database in it — so refunds, reports and the order screen all keep the currency the sale actually happened in, instead of quietly falling back to the base one.
Payment rules decide which gateways appear for which currency, so a gateway that cannot settle in it is never offered. That removes the most common cause of a failed payment on a multi currency shop.
Everything else working for the sale
Rates on autopilot
More than seven aggregators to choose from, refreshing on the schedule you set — down to every 5 minutes — with a floor and a ceiling per currency so a market swing never reaches your prices.
Prices by user role
Wholesale buyers, members or any other role can be charged their own amount in every currency — not a percentage taken off a converted number.
Price format per currency
Decimals, separators, cents shown or hidden, a standard or a custom money sign in one of four positions. 1,299.00 USD and 1 299 € on the same page, each the way its market reads it.
Thresholds that stay round
Free shipping minimums and fixed-amount coupons are stored per currency instead of being converted, so a 100 threshold does not become 92.40 abroad.
Currency statistics
Which currencies visitors switch to and which ones orders actually arrive in — enough to tell whether a currency you added last year still earns its place.
Works behind a cache
Page cache, object cache and Cloudflare APO. Since v.2.5.0 the plugin keeps its key in the browser instead of setting a cookie, so aggressive caches stop treating every page as personal.
Test drive before you buy
Install the free version on your own store today, run it in two currencies, and upgrade to Professional when you are ready. Both builds share one codebase — you are lifting a limit, not switching to a different plugin.
Questions before you buy
What is the difference between the Free and the Professional version?
The free version on WordPress.org is a fully working currency switcher, limited to two currencies. The Professional version removes that limit — an unlimited number of currencies, each with its own rate, symbol, decimals and price format. Everything else works the same way in both: the same codebase, the same settings screen, the same shortcodes. The full comparison table is above on this page.
Do I have to pay every year?
Only if you choose an annual plan. There is also a one-time lifetime licence — you pay once and never renew. Both are on this page: pick whichever suits how you budget.
What happens when my annual subscription ends?
The subscription renews automatically once a year, so updates and support continue without any action from you. If you cancel it, the plugin keeps working on your site — but it stops receiving updates. Updates are not only new features: WooCommerce, WordPress and the payment gateways change all the time, and exchange rate aggregators change their APIs. We ship compatibility fixes and security patches through the whole year, and running a version that no longer receives them is a risk we honestly don't recommend taking.
On how many sites can I use one licence?
It depends on the plan: 1 site, 10 sites or 1000 sites. A licence seat is released when you deactivate the plugin on a site, so you can move FOX from one site to another at any time.
Will it work with my payment gateway?
Around 95% of gateways work in multi currency mode. The ones that do not usually accept a single currency by design, and for those you can set payment rules so a gateway is only offered for the currency it actually supports. If you are unsure about a specific gateway, ask before you buy — write to us and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
Will it work with my theme and my other plugins?
Ready compatibility code for specific themes and plugins is published in the compatibility section — over a hundred cases with working snippets. If yours is not there, FOX LABS is the programme under which we investigate a conflict and write the adaptation free of charge.
Can I test FOX before paying?
Yes, and we recommend it. Install the free version from WordPress.org on your own store and run it in two currencies, or click around the live demo. Because both versions share one codebase, whatever works in the free build works after the upgrade — you are lifting a limit, not switching to a different plugin.
What 235 real customers say
Collected from CodeCanyon and WordPress.org over the years.
Slow down site speed enormously
We had been haunted by a site speed issue for our online shop for many years. Many possible causes have been inspected and dealt with but never really resolved the issue. We saw this currency switcher a basic need for the shop so we have never even thought of it as an issue. Until one day we saw an additional need for different destination countries other than currency. So we install another needed plugin, which requires that we deactivate this one. Since that other plugin has a lot more functionalities than switching the currency, we worried about site speed. We tested it. Many times. On many pages. GT-Matrix scores go from the 30% range to 80%, and loading time, speed index etc all improves by roughly 50%. This plugin maybe easy to use, and the pro version seems affordable, but if you need real performance for your shop, this should be avoided. We have suffered from it for many years, and do not want others to.
excellent support
A simple-to-use plugin with many features needed to boost a store and excellent support for any problems.
Recomendable
Es una solución económica para mostrar el cambio de divisas en los precios.
Does exactly what is does on the box and works perfectly. Customisable and easy to update the design. Loved the design of the default side bar option.
I really love this plugin and it does in fact increase your conversion rate. It is really easy to use and compatible with many themes. I love how you can customize the design of the drop down menu switcher and add several currencies that are updated daily. It has not shown any bugs so far and is worth purchasing seeing how it will benefit your sales in the long run.
